Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Stand Up Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will operate a stand-up forklift to efficiently load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse environment. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, materials handling, and warehouse management systems will ensure smooth logistics flow and contribute to our overall operational success. Duties
- Safely operate a stand-up forklift to load, unload, and move pallets, crates, and materials throughout the warehouse
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick, pack, and track orders
- Perform heavy lifting tasks using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment as needed
- Assist with order picking processes, including <PERSON> picker operations for efficient order fulfillment
- Support shipping & receiving activities by ensuring accurate loading and unloading of trucks
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and heavy equipment to maintain mechanical integrity and safety compliance with OSHA standards
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate materials handling activities and optimize workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating stand-up forklifts in a warehouse or construction environment
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, order picking, shipping & receiving procedures
- Familiarity with heavy equipment such as cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and mechanical tools
- Understanding of OSHA safety regulations related to forklift operation and materials handling
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems for inventory control
- Warehouse or construction experience preferred; prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus
