We are currently seeking a Java Quality Engineer to support Stock Plan Services technology for a major financial services organization. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality delivery of critical applications through strong test automation, robust testing practices, and close collaboration within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test suites for complex distributed applications
- Perform testing across multiple layers of the technology stack
- Own the end-to-end Test Management lifecycle
- Create and maintain test strategies and automation frameworks for new products and applications
- Collaborate closely with development and product teams in an Agile environment using Jira
- Ensure high-quality releases through strong automation, thorough validation, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, DB2, or PostgreSQL), including PL/SQL, complex queries, views, and packages
- Proven experience in test automation using frameworks such as RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, or TestNG
- Experience testing distributed applications across multiple technology layers
- Hands-on experience with the full Test Management lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices (GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube)
- Experience with Azure or AWS cloud technologies and DevOps practices
- Experience working in Agile teams using Jira
- Ability to independently design test strategies and automation suites for new applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Stock Plan Services, equity compensation, or brokerage platforms is a big plus
- Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
