This position is full time - 4days, however, there are often opportunities to pick up shifts needing coverage.
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires keen observation skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Guard will monitor premises through surveillance systems, conduct regular patrols, and ensure compliance with security procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR as necessary.
- Utilize CCTV systems to monitor activities within designated areas and report any suspicious behavior.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary and assist in investigations related to security breaches or incidents.
- Implement conflict management techniques to de-escalate potential disturbances or confrontations.
- Participate in loss prevention strategies by identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements.
Experience
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment including CCTV systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
