Horn Elementary School is seeking an exceptional K–5 Math Teacher Specialist & Campus Testing Coordinator to join our campus leadership team. This position is designed for an experienced educator who is passionate about improving student achievement through instructional coaching, mathematics leadership, data analysis, and effective assessment management.
The Teacher Specialist serves as the campus lead for K–5 mathematics instruction while coordinating all state and district assessments. This role works collaboratively with administrators and teachers to strengthen Tier I instruction, build teacher capacity, support data-driven decision-making, and ensure the successful administration of campus testing programs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the instructional leader for K–5 mathematics, supporting high-quality, standards-aligned instruction.
- Provide instructional coaching, classroom support, modeling, and feedback to teachers, with an emphasis on Kindergarten through 2nd grade and teachers requiring intensive support.
- Plan and facilitate engaging professional learning aligned to campus and district instructional priorities.
- Analyze student achievement data to identify instructional trends and support data-driven instructional planning.
- Support teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies, differentiation, and intervention practices.
- Coordinate all state, district, and campus assessments, including scheduling, training, materials management, test security, and compliance.
- Train and support staff on assessment procedures and testing protocols.
- Maintain accurate testing documentation and ensure compliance with all district and state assessment requirements.
- Collaborate with administrators to monitor instructional effectiveness and support campus improvement initiatives.
- Participate as a member of the campus leadership team and perform additional leadership responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Texas teaching certification.
- Strong knowledge of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Kindergarten through Grade 5 Mathematics.
- Experience providing instructional coaching, mentoring, or professional development preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze student performance data and translate findings into actionable instructional practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Pay: $64,000.00 - $89,500.00 per year
