JOB DUTIES
- Assist behavioral health and elderly residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) in a n assisted living facility setting
- Assist clients with personal care, which may include (but is not limited to):
- Bathing/Bathroom Assistance
- Morning/Evening Preparations
- Morning/Evening Dress and attire
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks
- Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, and overall needs of clients
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly environment for both residents and colleagues
HOURS:
Full time. 40 hours per week. Schedules include three 12 hour shifts and one 4 hour shift. Twelve hour shift schedules are either 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am and include weekend days.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 month of caregiver, customer service, behavioral health, or similar role
- Value and respect those in long-term care
- Have consistent attendance/reliable method of transportation
- Maneuver up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and ambulate quickly and often throughout a regular shift
- Teamwork, cooperation, training & development skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Correspond and document properly in charts and portal
PREFERENCES
- 6 months work experience in behavioral health or similar role
- CNA license (level 1 or higher)
