Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure consistent quality.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and proper food handling practices.
- Support food service operations by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring timely delivery of orders.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and transaction accuracy.
- Follow food safety guidelines diligently to uphold health standards and prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods, including banquet events or large parties.
- Contribute to a welcoming guest experience through friendly communication and attentive service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards is highly desirable.
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, or culinary tasks is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros enhances efficiency but can be trained on-site.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are vital for success in this role.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a positive attitude and eagerness to grow are key qualities.
