The Renaissance O'Hare Suites is seeking an energetic, relationship-focused, and results-driven Business Transient Sales Manager to grow and strengthen our corporate transient business. In this key role, you will develop and execute strategic sales plans to attract new corporate accounts, retain existing clients, and maximize room revenue through negotiated business travel agreements. You will build long-term partnerships with local, regional, and national companies while collaborating with hotel leadership to achieve revenue goals and enhance the guest experience. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan focused on increasing corporate transient (BT) room revenue and market share.
- Prospect, qualify, and secure new local, regional, and national corporate accounts through outside sales calls, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing corporate clients, travel managers, executive assistants, and travel management companies (TMCs).
- Negotiate preferred corporate rates, contracts, and business travel agreements that align with hotel revenue strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management, and Operations teams to maximize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
- Utilize Marriott sales systems, Salesforce, CI/TY reports, and other CRM platforms to manage account activity, sales pipelines, forecasting, and reporting.
- Conduct hotel site tours, client presentations, and familiarization visits to showcase Renaissance Hotels' unique brand experience and meeting capabilities.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
- Represent the hotel at local business organizations, chamber events, trade shows, and Marriott sales initiatives.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals while maintaining Marriott brand standards and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, with a strong background in corporate/business travel sales preferred.
- Experience working with Marriott systems, Salesforce, Delphi, CI/TY, or similar hotel CRM and sales platforms is highly desirable.
- Proven success in outside sales, business development, and account management within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of corporate negotiated rates, transient business, hotel revenue management, and market segmentation.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to build lasting relationships with corporate decision-makers and travel buyers.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative sales team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel sales reporting systems.
- Willingness to travel locally for client meetings, networking events, and outside sales appointments.
