Duties
- Assist with the setup, operation, and cleanup of manufacturing equipment, including power tools and hand tools.
- Support assembly line activities by handling materials, parts, and components with manual handling techniques.
- Use measuring instruments and interpret technical drawings to ensure precise assembly and quality standards.
- Operate forklifts safely to move raw materials, finished products, or supplies around the facility.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives by suggesting efficiencies or safety enhancements.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to production processes, quality checks, and inventory management.
Experience
- Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing management systems or production document interpretation is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, technical drawings, or interpreting measurements is desirable.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and lean manufacturing principles is beneficial.
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, forklifts, and measuring instruments with confidence.
- Experience in managing or supporting assembly teams can be an asset but is not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent manual handling skills will help you excel in this role.
