New Rise Renewables Reno is a fuel processing facility located just outside of Reno (in the TRIC Industrial park), producing sustainable aviation fuel. Position Overview:
The Instrument and Electrical (IE) Lead Technician is essential to the safe and efficient maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and repair of a variety of instrument and electrical circuits and components. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, ability to work well in a team environment and pride in their work. The IE Lead Technician will collaborate closely with the operational team to support seamless refinery operations.
Schedule:
Our facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This position work shift is days M-F but may require some overtime and a willingness to work some weekends and be available on-call.
Key Responsibilities
- Read, understand and effectively utilize technical information from electrical schematics, vender information, procedures and code
- Ensure work is done in compliance with electrical (NEC) codes
- Knowledge of Motor Control Centers (MCC)
- Knowledge of instrumentation involving 4-20mA powered loops including but not limited to: level transmitters, flow transmitters, temperature transmitters, and thermocouples
- Knowledge using multi-meters, hart communicators, 4-20 loop calibrators, insulation megger meters, and rotation meters
- Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) installations, setup, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of air compressors and re-compressors
- Knowledge of steam turbines and boilers
- Ability to work safely with voltage consisting of 24vdc, 24vac, 120/208/240v, 277/480v, and 4160v power systems
- Ability to install and maintain 120/208/240v, and 277v Heat trace circuits.
- Ability to install and maintain PLC controls
Qualifications:
- Education: Journeyman certification or 5 years equivalent working experience.
- Experience: Preferred experience in instrument and electrical in an industrial environment.
- Background Check: Clean background with no disqualifying offenses.
- Drug Test: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Multitasking: Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the role, including working in various environmental conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62.00 - $66.00 per hour
