Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavioral therapy techniques that promote positive behavior change. Your expertise in applied behavior analysis will be essential in developing individualized care plans and supporting clients in their daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Conduct assessments to identify behavioral needs and develop appropriate interventions.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to enhance their independence.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress and behavior changes.
- Teach social skills and coping strategies to clients in various settings.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans and progress notes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support client development.
- Provide behavioral management strategies to address challenging behaviors effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with special education practices and behavioral health principles.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation processes.
- Experience in teaching or training individuals in a therapeutic context is a plus.
- Understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies for working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
