Oregon Coast Hospice is looking for a compassionate, dependable CNA to join our new hospice team!
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of building a team and program from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity for a CNA who values compassionate end-of-life care and would enjoy growing alongside a new organization.
About the Position
As a Hospice CNA, you will provide compassionate, respectful, and supportive care to hospice patients in their homes, helping patients remain comfortable and maintain dignity during their end-of-life journey.
Because we are a new hospice program, hours will be flexible initially and will increase as our patient census grows. The beginning of the position will include orientation, training, learning our systems and processes, and preparing you to confidently provide care once we are fully licensed to provide treatments.
We are looking for someone who is flexible and understands that building a new hospice program takes time—but who is also excited about the opportunity to grow with the organization and help build our team together.

Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist patients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning
- Observe and report changes in the patient's condition to the hospice nurse
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support
- Assist with maintaining a safe and comfortable patient environment
- Follow the hospice plan of care and agency policies
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and the hospice team
- Complete required documentation accurately and timely
- Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times
We Are Looking For Someone Who Is
- A current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Compassionate and comfortable working with hospice and end-of-life patients
- Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently in patients' homes
- A strong communicator and team player
- Respectful of patient and family preferences, cultures, and wishes
- Flexible and willing to grow with a new organization
- Interested in being part of building something meaningful in our community
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current state licensure.
- Prior experience in hospice or palliative care is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to geriatrics and end-of-life care.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling techniques; physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills for caregiver interactions and team collaboration; compassionate approach essential for working with terminally ill patients.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
