Job Description: We are hiring a Nuclear Medicine Assistant to support daily operations in our nuclear cardiology department. This role is ideal for someone with a Bachelor’s degree or a clinical background who wants to build a long-term career in nuclear medicine.
For the right candidate, this position includes a pathway to become a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Eligible backgrounds include:
- Bachelor of Science degree (any field)
- Sonographer
- Nurse (LPN/RN)
- Radiologic Technologist (RT)
- Respiratory Therapist
- Occupational Therapist
- Physical Therapist
- Surgical Technologist
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily nuclear medicine workflow and patient preparation
- Support technologists during imaging procedures
- Perform routine quality control and quality assurance tasks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
- Assist with documentation, inventory, and radiation safety practices
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or clinical certification/licensure in one of the fields listed above
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
- Solid communication skills and comfort working in a clinical environment
- Interest in nuclear medicine and willingness to pursue advanced training
