***Our Dental Office in Sherman Oaks area is looking to a part-time Dental Hygienist for Monday's and Wednesday's only (can lead to Full-time when available)
***Our office DOES NOT over-book, ever, but still needs to be self-time manageable
***Looking for a friendly, energetic and a team worker
***Must be able to help w/ X-rays when needed, and work alone

Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging technology while maintaining strict infection prevention protocols.
- Assist with chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments or sealants during patient visits.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately, ensuring all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain dental equipment, sterilize instruments using aseptic techniques, and uphold infection control standards in accordance with healthcare guidelines.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry and providing care tailored to children’s needs.
- Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely and accurately while maintaining patient comfort.
- Excellent communication skills for client education, explaining procedures clearly and empathetically.
- Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including HIPAA compliance management.
