Job Summary
The Regional Office of Education #13 is seeking a dedicated Family Advocate to join our Prevention Initiative Birth to Three Program. This position provides family-centered, developmentally appropriate home visits to expectant parents and families with children ages birth to three throughout Jefferson, Marion, Clinton, and Washington counties.
Position Details
- Full Time 12 Month Position (280 Days)
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct regular home visits with families
- Complete required documentation and data entry
- Collaborate with team members to plan program events
- Provide family-centered support, education, and developmental guidance to families
Qualifications
- Knowledge of birth to three child development and milestones
- Experience working with young children and families
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Proficiency with basic computer skills, including email communication, internet navigation, electronic record systems, data entry, and the ability to learn new software platforms.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Salary: $43,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
