Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Safety Coordinator to lead our electrical safety initiatives across construction sites and operational facilities. In this pivotal role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive electrical safety programs that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help foster a safety-first culture, mitigate risks, and promote occupational health within dynamic construction environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence safety practices on large-scale projects, ensuring the well-being of all team members and stakeholders. This role is based in Austin and is responsible for administering safety poicies acrtoss all projects in Austin and San Antonio. The Electrical Safety Coordinator will report promarily to the Field Operations Manager. The role involves frequent travel between Austin and San Antonio jobsites, typically requiring presence in San Antonio at least once a week or as needed.
Responsibilities
- Policy Administration: Administer and implement JMEG safety policies for all regional projects.
- Site Inspections: Conduct weekly project inspections to ensure compliance with all safety standards.
- Personnel Training: Manage safety orientation for new employees and provide specialized safety training for equipment.
- Certification Training: Conduct First Aid and CPR training for personnel.
- Resource Management: Oversee the procurement and management of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaboration: Coordinate directly with the General Contractors' safety personnel.
- Project Support: Assist with the multiple projects on an as-needed basis.
- Documentation: Utilize Procore for safety documentation and reporting.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site safety management with a focus on electrical safety procedures.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NEC codes, NFPA standards, ANSI standards, and construction workplace safety regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead safety training programs and implement effective safety training initiatives.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and managing occupational health concerns within construction environments.
- Familiarity with construction management software and compliance management tools for recordkeeping and reporting purposes.
- Prior experience in construction management or supervision roles is highly desirable.
- Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to influence positive safety behaviors among diverse teams.
- Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are preferred; OSHA 30 is required; additional certifications related to electrical safety or occupational health are advantageous.
- Must have a clean driving record.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
