Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Furniture Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for selling furniture products, merchandise and providing exceptional customer service in a retail setting.
Duties
- Welcome and identify customer needs
- Explain products & quality to customers
- Enter and process customer orders
- Maintain and build relationships with existing customers
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Address customer inquiries professionally, utilizing strong communication skills and phone etiquette.
Requirements
- Previous experience in sales, interior design, or other related fields
- Ability to build rapport with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Familiarity with custom furniture is preferred. Knowledge on different types of woods, finishes and fabrics.
