Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality care and support to children and individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, childcare, and behavior management, with a passion for fostering growth and development in a safe, nurturing environment. Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children.
- Assist with daily activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and supervising playtime.
- Implement age-appropriate educational activities and teaching strategies to promote childhood development and early learning.
- Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, practicing first aid and CPR when necessary, and maintaining a secure environment.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance to meet individual needs.
- Manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other caregivers to ensure consistent care plans and developmental progress.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of caregiving areas, including classrooms or activity spaces.
- Follow all organizational policies related to childcare, daycare operations, or youth programs.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs teaching experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in nurturing children's growth and well-being.
- Ability to pass background checks and adhere to all safety protocols required for caregiving roles.
