We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal for customer satisfaction.
- Package finished products for display or delivery while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food production and service during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies needed for pastry production.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers regarding pastry selections and special requests.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure the safety of all food items prepared.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pastry preparation or baking within a professional kitchen setting.
- Strong cake decorating skills with an eye for detail and creativity.
- Familiarity with food production processes, including food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations within the food industry.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using various kitchen equipment related to baking and pastry work.
- Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
