The Secretary of State’s Office, Political Reform Division, is pleased to announce an opportunity for a qualified permanent, full-time applicant to apply for an Analyst I position within the Campaign Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals who play a critical role in promoting transparency in the campaign finance and lobbying processes!
Under the general direction of a Supervisor I, this position is responsible for a wide variety of moderately complex and analytical tasks associated with the Secretary of State’s Political Reform Division. As a valuable team member, the incumbent will be responsible for reviewing and processing campaign termination submissions filed under the Political Reform Act, independently evaluating complex inquiries, exercising sound judgment, and providing accurate guidance to filers, stakeholders, and the public. Other major functions of this position include writing procedures, analyzing data, and creating and presenting reports. The incumbent will also deliver excellent customer service through phone, email, and in-person appointments. On-the-job training will be provided to gain a comprehensive understanding of the laws, regulations, and terminology related to campaign registration and disclosure requirements.

- Technically proficient with a current working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerBI.
- Interest in the importance of transparency in campaign and lobbying activities in the State of California.
