Job Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing all plant operations, safety, production, quality, maintenance, inventory, and personnel management. The Plant Manager is hands-on and will lead a team of employees while driving operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is an experienced manufacturing leader who will lead by example with integrity possessing a well-rounded skill set, who enjoys working in a fast-paced industrial environment, and is committed to building a strong safety culture while achieving production goals. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the IBC tote maintenance facility.
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of employees.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Promote and enforce all OSHA, EPA, environmental, and company safety policies.
- Monitor production efficiency, labor utilization, and operating costs.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Manage inventory levels of totes, replacement parts, chemicals, and production supplies.
- Maintain quality control standards for cleaned, repaired, and maintenance IBC containers.
- Work closely with sales, logistics, and customer service teams to meet customer expectations.
- Prepare production reports, KPI tracking, and operational performance metrics.
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and retain plant personnel.
- Handle any other duties as assigned that are required by the business.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership and team development skills, adaptable to changes, and effective communicator.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with forklifts and industrial equipment preferred.
- Proficient in Google Sheets, email, and production reporting systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in plastic recycling, container maintenance and/or industrial washing systems preferred.
- Chemical handling and waste-water knowledge.
- Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing operations and financials to support business goals.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles knowledge.
- Experience managing production schedules and operational metrics.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field preferred or 5+ years of manufacturing, industrial, or production management experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and environmental compliance.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for on-the-job travel.
- Ability to pass background checks and random drug tests.
Pay: $61,305.13 - $90,000.00 per year
