**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general dentistry and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. This role is perfect for those who are eager to support the oral health of patients of all ages while utilizing their skills in dental assisting duties. **Responsibilities:** - Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including vital sign collection, dental cleaning, and anesthesia administration. - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and infection-free environment. - Operate dental imaging equipment and assist with medical imaging procedures as needed. - Provide pediatric dental care, including administering fluoride treatments and educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques. - Utilize knowledge of dental anatomy to assist with restorative procedures, including prosthodontics. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans. - Work closely with the front desk team to schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and communicate with patients regarding their dental care. - Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the health and safety of patients and staff. - Stay current with the latest dental assisting techniques and best practices. **Experience:** - 1+ years of experience as a dental assistant or in a related field. - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and vital signs. - Experience with Dentrix and medical imaging equipment. - Familiarity with general dentistry and prosthodontics. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient care and satisfaction. - High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's degree or certification in dental assisting is preferred. **Skills:** - Proficiency in dental assisting and receptionist duties. - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. - Experience with general dentistry and prosthodontics. - Familiarity with Dentrix and medical imaging equipment. - Ability to maintain infection control protocols. - Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor. - Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
