Duties
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to preschool-aged children, emphasizing literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and positive behavior through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and tailor instruction to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings, reports, or informal updates.
- Plan and lead activities that promote physical development, creativity, and social-emotional growth in accordance with early childhood education standards.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development instruction and preschool teaching best practices.

Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with preschool or pre-kindergarten children in a licensed childcare or educational setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development principles, early intervention strategies, and childhood welfare practices.
- Experience developing curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, and physical education activities tailored for young children.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and an inclusive learning environment.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or early childhood education are advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures for early learners is a plus but not mandatory; a commitment to ongoing professional growth is essential.
