As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll work directly with experienced Project Managers while learning every aspect of owner's representation, including securing entitlements, permitting, project planning, budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, construction oversight, and client management. This position offers a clear path for advancement into a Project Manager role as our company continues to grow.

Projects You'll Help Manage
Our team oversees a wide variety of multifamily construction projects, including:
· Apartment renovations and unit turns
· Large capital improvement (CapEx) projects
· Seismic retrofit projects
· Electrical, plumbing, and utility infrastructure upgrades
· Façade restoration and exterior improvements
· Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) development

Responsibilities
· Assist Senior Project Managers with the day-to-day management of multiple construction projects.
· Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
· Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules and milestone tracking.
· Review scopes of work, subcontractor proposals, change orders, pay applications, and invoices.
· Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
· Prepare field reports, meeting minutes, progress photographs, and project documentation.
· Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
· Coordinate with owners, property managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and tenants.
· Help identify and resolve construction issues while tracking corrective actions.
· Ensure projects comply with contract documents, building codes, permits, and safety standards.
· Support permitting, utility coordination, inspections, and project closeout activities.

Qualifications
· 1–3 years of experience in construction project coordination, owner's representation, project engineering, assistant project management, or general contracting.
· Experience with multifamily residential construction is strongly preferred.
· Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and construction management software such as Procore, Knowify, Buildertrend, or similar platforms.
· Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project budgets.
· Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
· Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation for project site visits throughout the Bay Area.

Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with apartment renovations, occupied rehabilitation projects, ADUs, or capital improvement projects.
· Familiarity with San Francisco Bay Area permitting and entitlement processes.
· Experience with budgeting, job cost reporting, forecasting, and change order management.
· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
