Administers and manages construction projects on City-owned facilities. Participates in the planning, cost estimating, budgeting, scoping, and design of assigned projects. Manages construction, inspection, and closeout of assigned projects and assists other City staff on large projects. Projects are often single-phase and take less than three months to complete. Projects include but are not limited to installation of key building components, landscaping, painting, and other exterior improvements.

WORK EXPERIENCE: The application must clearly show one (1) year of full-time diversified work experience managing multi-disciplined capital projects. (Less than full-time experience will be calculated on a pro-rated basis).

EDUCATION/TRAINING: The application must clearly show a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Engineering (any discipline), Construction Management, Project Management, or a related area; OR Architectural Experience Program (AXP) Certificate per the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) OR be qualified to sit for Interior Design Functional Exam (IDFX) of the National Conference of Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ). EQUIVALENCY: Education/training and/or work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis if the application clearly shows the required number of years to meet the Total Qualifying Requirement for this position, based on the sum of work experience and education/training listed above.
