What You’ll Do:
- You’ll work closely with machinists, other programmers, and the quality team, using state-of-the-art machinery and technology.
- Support machinists on the shop floor with setups and troubleshooting
- Program CNC 3- and 4-axis mill parts using Mastercam or Esprit Edge (desired).
- Work with 5-axis mills, Live Tooling Lathes, and Wire EDM (a plus).
- Choose tools and design fixtures for complex metal and plastic parts
- Strategically plan projects by matching job requirements with the right machine capabilities, available capacity, and machinist expertise
- Review CAD/solid models and develop efficient machining strategies
- Help with project quoting, planning, and process improvements
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years CNC programming experience in a fast-paced shop, preferably aerospace, defense or medical machining.
- MASTERCAM or ESPRIT CAM expertise or desire to learn required.
- Skilled in tight-tolerance machining in materials like titanium, Inconel, and plastics (Vespel, Peek, Delrin, etc.).
- Knowledge of 5-axis, Live Tooling Lathe, or Wire EDM programming is a bonus.
- Strong attention to detail and team mindset.
- Willingness to jump in, solve problems, and support others.

Compensation:
Base Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 annually
This range reflects the good‑faith estimate of what RPI expects to pay upon hire for this position, as required by California Labor Code §432.3. Ranges are based on the specific role and location and must align with what employers reasonably expect to pay under California’s pay transparency rules.
Actual pay within the range is determined by experience, skillset, and job‑related qualifications. Additional forms of compensation—such as incentives or benefits—may also be offered in accordance with company policy.
RPI complies with California requirements mandating pay scales in all job postings for employers with 15+ employees and for any role that may be performed in the state, including remote roles.
