Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Person to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks across facilities, manufacturing environments, and residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in facilities maintenance, welding, and electrical systems. The Maintenance Person will be responsible for ensuring all equipment and facilities operate efficiently and safely, supporting both operational needs and customer service standards.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment using schematics, CMMS software, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform repairs involving welding, electrical work, plumbing, and mechanical systems to maintain optimal facility operations.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, and mechanical components to minimize downtime.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Supervise or assist junior team members in maintenance tasks while demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS systems for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance activities, including proper use of tools like ohmmeters and adherence to safety schematics.
- Support facilities maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical wiring, and general building upkeep to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from internal teams or clients.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong background in mechanical repair, electrical troubleshooting, welding, and residential painting.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and CMMS software is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing.
- Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus, demonstrating the ability to oversee projects or mentor team members.
