A Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a member of a designated service provision team with direct responsibility for the implementation of the Individual Plan (IP) and related support services designed for each client participating in the program. A DSP is primarily responsible for working with people with developmental disabilities in their homes and the community. Position requires flexibility in scheduling, use of good judgment, initiative, punctuality, good typing and writing skills, the ability to work autonomously and independently. A DSP is required to follow established agency policies and procedures to ensure general health, welfare and safety for all clients participating in the designated program. DSP’s may provide support services in a variety of functional settings. Use of the DSP’s personal vehicle may be required. Unlimited Opportunities is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
