Job Overview
Backstage Health is seeking a Credentialed School Nurse (CSN) to serve as an IEP Case Manager supporting virtual academy students across California. This per diem W-2 position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work remotely or in a hybrid capacity. The role focuses on IEP-related health evaluations, record reviews, vision and hearing screenings, and participation in virtual IEP meetings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct IEP-related health assessments, including vision and hearing screenings (when needed)
- Coordinate evaluation schedules directly with families
- Review student medical records and previous evaluations
- Write and submit individualized health reports for IEP and 504 plans
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings to present findings and support the team
- Collaborate with caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Manage documentation and timelines through secure internal systems
- Complete in-person vision and hearing screenings at the student’s home or designated office sites based on family preference
Qualifications
- Active California RN license
- California School Nurse Services Credential (Preliminary or Clear)
- School Audiometrist Certificate
- Familiarity with IEP and 504 processes
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
- Proficiency with Zoom, Google Workspace, and PDF tools
- Reliable computer/laptop and internet access
