American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) position in a Progressive Care Unit, requiring ACLS certification and experience with cardiac patients and titrating drips on night shifts.

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Intermediate Care (IMC) setting within a hospital
-
Patient population includes cardiac patients, open heart surgery recovery, TAVR, Watchman, and post-cardiac procedure patients
-
IMC pod consists of 8 patients with conditions including new BiPAP, DKA, CIWA, and patients requiring titrating drips
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)

Every third weekend required

Rotating holiday coverage required

No on-call responsibilities

Active IL RN license currently in hand

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (RQI certifications are not accepted)

Experience with cardiac patient populations required

Experience managing titrating drips required

Responsibilities include caring for complex cardiac and post-procedure patients as well as IMC patients requiring close monitoring and drip titration
