Raw Beauty Skin & Lash Academy is seeking an experienced, professional Registered Nurse (RN) to join our education team as a Part-Time Cosmetic Laser Instructor. This is a great opportunity for an RN interested in aesthetics, cosmetic lasers, and education who wants a flexible position without committing to full-time hours.
Our Cosmetic Laser Technician program provides students with education and hands-on training in cosmetic laser and energy-based treatments. The ideal candidate is confident working with students, passionate about safety and aesthetics, and able to create a positive, professional learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach and supervise students during cosmetic laser classes and hands-on clinical training
- Demonstrate proper consultation, treatment preparation, technique, safety, and aftercare
- Educate students on laser physics, skin anatomy, Fitzpatrick skin typing, contraindications, treatment endpoints, and adverse reactions
- Supervise students performing treatments on models/clients
- Follow Raw Beauty's approved curriculum, Medical Director protocols, manufacturer instructions, and applicable Arizona requirements
- Maintain a safe, organized, professional training environment
- Evaluate student knowledge and hands-on competency
- Complete required student training and clinical documentation
- Assist with classroom and practical examinations
- Communicate professionally with academy leadership and students
Schedule
This is a very part-time position averaging approximately 26–50 hours per month. Hours will vary based on scheduled laser classes and clinical training days.
This position may be ideal for an RN who currently works in aesthetics, a med spa, nursing, or another part-time position and would like to add teaching to their schedule.
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license
- Interest or experience in cosmetic lasers, medical aesthetics, dermatology, plastic surgery, or med-spa services preferred
- Cosmetic laser experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable teaching and supervising students
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, organized, professional, and safety-focused
- Must be willing to complete any instructor/device-specific training required for Raw Beauty's program
- Must meet all applicable AZDHS requirements for the training being provided
