Cedar County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) has an immediate opening for a full-time Cook/Dietary Aide. We are seeking a dependable, team-oriented individual who is passionate about preparing and serving high-quality meals that support the health and well-being of our patients.
The ideal candidate will have institutional food service experience, take pride in their work, and be committed to providing excellent service while ensuring patients’ dietary needs and nutritional requirements remain the top priority.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and approved menus.
- Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule for designated mealtimes.
- Maintain food quality, safety, and sanitation standards throughout meal preparation and service.
- Assist with food preparation, dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, and sanitation duties.
- Deliver meals to patients in a friendly, professional manner.
- Follow dietary restrictions and nutrition guidelines for patient meals.
- Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other departments to provide exceptional service.
- Perform other related dietary department duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous food service and institutional cooking experience required.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic math (addition and subtraction), and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while performing assigned duties.
- Must be able to lift and carry moderate amounts of weight.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to teamwork.
