Job Description:
We are seeking energetic, passionate, and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our growing team in Middle Tennessee. In this role, you will work directly with our participants for activities, life-skills training, and community outings.
This is a highly active role centered around engagement—you will be helping participants explore art, music, community networking, and pre-vocational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active Engagement: Lead and assist participants with enrichment activities including art projects, music expression, and life-skills building.
- Community Integration: Accompany and support participants on community outings, safety networking, and social activities.
- Goal Progression: Observe, document, and encourage progress toward each participant's personal independence goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Experience in caregiving, CNA work, mental health, or working with the IDD/aging population is highly preferred, but a passion for inclusion is a must!
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications (like Google) for daily logging and scheduling.
- Reliability: Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and valid auto insurance (you will be transporting clients in the community).
- Safety: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and registry checks. First Aid/CPR certification preferred (or willing to obtain upon hire).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, pull, and assist participants with mobility or transfers safely.
