About the Position
Magnolia Gardens PCH, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and energetic Day Program Class Instructor - Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our Adult Day Program serving individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will help implement structured activities, support personal care needs, document daily participation, and help create a positive, engaging environment for all participants.

Hours
Monday - Friday: 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planned program activities such as exercise sessions, group discussions, arts and crafts, and active games
- Assist Individuals with signing in/out and documenting items/clothing brought daily
- Support orientation and integration of new program participants
- Record daily documentation in an online system
- Provide personal care assistance (e.g., coats, ambulation, transferring, lavatory needs, hand washing, eating)
- Review daily communication logs and stay updated on participant needs or program changes
- Assist with meal/snack setup and cleanup; monitor kitchen and cleaning supplies
- Maintain accurate documentation of participation, activities, incidents, and attendance
- Contribute to a respectful, supportive, and fun learning environment
Required Skills & Competencies
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism (preferred)
- Familiarity with ADLs, behavior support, and general care needs
- Understanding of resident rights and regulations related to service delivery
- Strong communication skills with participants, families, and staff
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience working with adults, preferably those with developmental disabilities
- Understanding of physical, social, and mental health needs of individuals served
- Strong interpersonal skills when working with participants, staff, and volunteers
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule or activity changes as needed
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to read, write, and document in English
