Position Overview
VacSource is seeking a detail-oriented Parts Associate to support our service and sales operations. This role is responsible for sourcing, ordering, and managing parts used in vacuum truck builds, repairs, and customer orders. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working with technical schematics to identify and source the correct components.
Key Responsibilities
- Order parts from vendors to support service, builds, and customer needs
- Coordinate drop shipping of parts directly to customers when required
- Read and interpret equipment schematics and parts diagrams to identify correct part numbers
- Receive, package, and ship parts orders
- Track and maintain parts inventory levels
- Monitor parts costs and vendor pricing to maintain accurate records
- Work closely with technicians and management to ensure parts availability for jobs
- Maintain organized records of orders, shipments, and inventory
- Assist with vendor communication and sourcing hard-to-find parts
Qualifications
- Experience in parts, service, or equipment support preferred
- Ability to read schematics or parts diagrams (mechanical or hydraulic experience is a plus)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable working with inventory systems and spreadsheets
- Strong communication skills with vendors and internal teams
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced shop environment
- Experience in heavy equipment, vacuum trucks, or diesel industry is a plus
