About Us: Little French Speakers is an online platform dedicated to teaching French to children aged 5 to 15. Our unique methodology, developed by experienced French teachers, focuses on creating a fun and engaging learning environment. We offer personalized 1-on-1 classes with native French-speaking instructors to inspire a love for learning French in children.
Position Overview: To best serve our U.S.-based students, candidates must be located in a time zone that allows them to teach during U.S. afternoon and evening hours (starting around 2:00 PM PST time).
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Online French Teacher to join our team. This is a flexible, remote teaching position where you will provide personalized one-on-one lessons to kids. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to create a welcoming and supportive learning atmosphere, encouraging students to develop self-confidence and a love for the French language. You should be able to work independently and have a strong passion for teaching and sharing French culture with children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized, high-quality one-on-one French instruction.
- Teach 15, 25, or 50-minute classes using our structured curriculum and creative teaching approach.
- Deliver playful, interactive, and culturally rich lessons that keep children engaged and motivated.
Qualifications:
- Availability on weekends (Saturday morning) and on weekday afternoons from 2 to 7 PM PST.
- Minimum of one year of experience teaching French to children online.
- Master’s or bachelor degree in French Language.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Experience working with children, either as a teacher or teaching assistant.
- Proficiency in using Zoom and PowerPoint.
- Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to each student’s needs.
Technical Requirements:
- A desktop computer, laptop, or tablet with a webcam.
- Stable internet connection, either Wi-Fi or cable.
- It is recommended to use a headset for clear communication, as built-in microphones or speakers may not provide sufficient quality.
