Duties
- Perform welding operations using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components.
- Measure materials and components precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure specifications are met.
- Operate power tools, plasma cutters, soldering equipment, and other fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
- Fabricate metal structures such as ductwork, sheet metal components, and structural assemblies while adhering to ASME codes & standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by utilizing hand tools and power tools properly.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving machining, assembly, or mechanical fabrication tasks.
- Interpret technical drawings accurately to support quality control and precise fabrication.
