Summer Camp Position Summary:
Counselors at LIONS Camp create a safe, engaging, and positive environment for campers. Counselors lead activities, support campers’ social and emotional growth, and model leadership, teamwork, and responsibility.

Responsibilities:
Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times
Lead and assist with daily camp activities (games, sports, arts, STEM, climbing, etc.)
Encourage participation, inclusion, and positive behavior
Support campers in building confidence and friendships
Communicate effectively with fellow staff and camp leadership
Serve as a positive role model aligned with LIONS Camp values
Qualifications:
Experience working with children preferred
Responsible, energetic, and dependable
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to maintain a safe and supportive camp environment
Work Authorization Requirements:
- Clear the Department of Justice background screening (Livescan)
- Authorized to work in the United States (I-9)
- Provide health (TB) clearance (an update is expected every four years)
Physical Requirements:
- Demonstrate normal depth perception
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, operate standard office equipment, and use a telephone
- See and read a computer screen and printed matter with or without vision aids
- Hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone with or without auditory aides
