Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring a variety of appealing dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
- Ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed to maintain food safety
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and knives
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management
- Participate in catering events as needed, providing excellent service to guests
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation
- Experience in fine dining or catering is preferred
- Familiarity with dietary department operations or as a dietary aide is a plus
- Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
