Title: Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to help lead a specialty retail store in Maui. This role partners closely with the Store Manager to create a positive work environment, deliver exceptional customer experiences, support store operations, and drive sales performance.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in retail leadership, a customer-first mindset, and a sharp eye for merchandising and store presentation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys coaching others, leading by example on the sales floor, and contributing to a memorable in-store experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service through personalized support, product knowledge, and proactive issue resolution.
- Lead the sales floor during assigned shifts by modeling strong selling behaviors and coaching associates in real time.
- Support achievement of sales goals by monitoring performance and driving results across key metrics such as sales, conversion, average order value, and units per transaction.
- Gather customer feedback and share insights with store leadership.
- Coach team members on product knowledge, selling techniques, and customer engagement.
- Maintain visual merchandising, promotional displays, replenishment, and overall store presentation in line with company standards.
- Partner with the Store Manager to execute business priorities and support sales, operational, and customer experience goals.
- Support operational excellence through inventory accuracy, replenishment, cycle counts, shipment processing, and policy compliance.
- Assist with stock organization and loss prevention practices to maintain an accurate and well-presented selling environment.
- Analyze store performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, customer experience, and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of retail experience required.
- Experience in specialty, boutique, luxury, gift, home, or visual-led retail preferred.
- Strong eye for visual merchandising and detail-oriented execution.
- Excellent communication skills with customers and team members.
- Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
- Comfort using iPads, basic computer systems, and data entry tools; Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- Flexible and willing to take on additional duties as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work onsite for every shift.
- May assist with assembling and disassembling seasonal displays and décor.
- Must be able to lift and/or move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
Pay: From $70,000.00 per hour
