We are currently seeking a PRN 1st shift Ultrasound Technologist to join our growing hospital. The ideal Ultrasound Technologist candidate must have good judgment, needs to be responsible, reliable, and is comfortable working independently.

The responsibilities of the Ultrasound Technologist include, but are not limited to:
- Performing ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, abdominal, pelvic, venous, liver, renal, thyroid, small parts, and Doppler ultrasounds
- Using cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological information and images
- Introduces solutions in preparation for certain examinations
- Assists physically disabled patients
- Records examination data and other pertinent information on patients
- Maintains Ultrasound room in orderly fashion
- Maintains equipment by cleaning Ultrasound Unit and its components
- Applies emergency procedures when needed
- Transports patients as needed
- Responsible for maintaining daily quality control checks of Ultrasound equipment
- Checks with office personnel as to what orders have been scheduled on a given patient
Job Requirements
- 2 years of ultrasound experience
- Experience in Doppler and OB ultrasounds
- Completion of an accredited ultrasound program
- BLS certification
- ARDMS certification (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
