Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using proper cleaning techniques and equipment
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
- Clear and buss tables promptly to maintain a clean dining environment
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers and manual handling tools
- Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas
- Support the team with food handling duties and uphold kitchen health and safety standards throughout your shift
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation procedures is a plus
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting of dishware and supplies
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
