Job Summary:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Accurately enters and distributes third-party payments across all revenue-generating health facilities, ensuring proper account allocation. Processes daily accounts receivable transactions, including verification, allocation, data entry, and posting. Conducts routine data validation to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Job Duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares batch sheets for daily transactional payments to ensure proper coding to the accounting unit.
- Reconciles daily deposit lockbox batches to the bank deposit records.
- Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
- Makes all necessary adjustments, corrections, and write-offs as instructed.
- Communicates with payers regarding missing remittances for daily checks.
- Performs data entry for high-volume patient payments/adjustments and daily bank deposits.
- Reconciles and posts all zero balance auto-post from the revenue cycle and revenue manager.
- Assists the Supervisor with all other job-related issues.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Performs work under direct supervision.
- Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.

- At least one (1) year of experience in a related field.
