- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales transactions swiftly and correctly
- Manage cash handling procedures, including balancing registers and issuing receipts
- Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling opportunities, and product demos to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and participating in stock counts
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Apply basic retail math skills for cash register operations and transaction accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for growth opportunities
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales transactions
