Job Summary

Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
- Prepare and serve ice cream cones, sundaes, floats, and other frozen treats following proper food safety standards.
- Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage cash register operations, including processing cash, credit card payments, and giving correct change.
- Upsell additional products or upgrades to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing equipment, cleaning counters, and properly storing food items in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
- Support food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met at all times.
- Assist with bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the shop environment.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely when preparing toppings or other food items as needed.
- Manage customer orders efficiently during busy periods while maintaining a positive attitude.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Experience with food preparation, handling, and safety management within a retail or restaurant setting.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously during peak hours.
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly, energetic approach.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing retail math tasks.
- Retail sales experience or grocery store experience is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment and maintaining sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.
