The Physician's work is performed in a combination of primarily work from home but also office, exam, and other clinical settings.
**There is possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, bodily fluids, and other conditions common to medical practice**
Job Responsibilities:

Supervise Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Medical Assistants and any other staff in a work from home environment

Provides competent, evidence-based medical care by interviewing, examining, and treating patients

Determines the level of urgency of follow-up care, referral/consultation appointments and diagnostic testing

Has a thorough knowledge of and experience with pharmacological agents

Educates patients on wellness, prevention and on the importance of early detection of disease and provides appropriate resources to the patient to help them understand their own health

Exercises final medical judgment and assumes ultimate responsibility for the performance of mid-level medical and clinical nursing staff

Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs according to personal and institutional requirements

Assists in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients

Degree or other Certifications:
Required:
-
Has an appropriate medical degree from an accredited school with licensure to practice in the state of Tennessee.
