Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including general dentistry and other specialties.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by taking vital signs, medical history, and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners while adhering to all radiation safety protocols.
- Process and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records using EMR systems such as Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to dental sterilization procedures and infection control standards to promote a safe clinical environment.
- Assist with dental instrument processing, chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques, and managing dental supplies inventory.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment plans, and post-operative care to foster patient engagement and satisfaction.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or similar platforms for medical documentation and records management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical procedures across various specialties.
- Experience with dental x-ray techniques, medical imaging, and the use of advanced diagnostic tools like 3D scanners.
- Expertise with iTero or Glidewell medit scanners for same day crowns
- Expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection control standards.
- Ability to perform vital signs assessment accurately
- Familiarity with dental instruments processing, chairside assisting skills including four-handed dentistry practices.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate patients about their oral health needs.
- Previous experience working in general dentistry

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
