Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and installations on various marine vessels and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of marine systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on marine vessels to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using tools such as Ohmmeters and calipers.
- Perform repairs on engines, electrical systems, and other critical components.
- Fabricate and rig parts as necessary to meet specific repair needs.
- Utilize hand tools and welding equipment to complete repairs and modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed on each vessel.
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in a marine environment.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, and fabrication techniques.
- Experience with boat, yacht and vehicle maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals related to marine systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on problem resolution.
- Familiarity with marine equipment is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.
