Mikes Mechanical is looking for a Journeyman Plumber. The Plumber will provide routine maintenance and service to residential customers as well as trouble shoot issues and provide solutions.

Essential Job Functions

Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures

Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.

Use an iPad to create customer invoices and communicate with the office.

Follow building plans and blueprints.

Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in your company vehicle.

Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.

Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.

Other duties as assigned.
Work Hours
This is a non-exempt position. Work hours to be determined based on the needs of the business. Overtime may be required based on the needs of the business.

Must have basic computer skills and be able to utilize mobile device throughout the workday.
Education and Experience
Previous experience as a plumber or enrollment in appropriate schooling (determined by management).
Must be able to pass a background and drug screening.
Work Environment
Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. May be exposed to uncomfortable temperatures and/or conditions. Occasionally exposed to wet, snow, hot and humid conditions. Subject to dark confined workspaces such as crawl spaces and attics.
Physical Demands
Moderate to heavy working conditions. Be comfortable with and physically able to safely help lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, stand for long periods of time, bend, crawl and kneel. Must be able to lift 100+ pounds at a time.
Supervisory Responsibility
None. All questionable matters are referred to Supervisor.
Travel
Must have a valid driver license and clean driving history. Regular travel should be expected between Mike’s Mechanical Services and job sites. Travel to be expected primarily during normal business hours and during on-call shifts.
