JOB
This is a Seasonal position which is on-call or as needed not to exceed 1040 hours per fiscal year.
Under close supervision, performs work of routine difficulty preparing meals, cleaning, and ordering food and supplies specific to the assigned department. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Plans, prepares, cooks, and serves meals for detainees and staff.

Cleans kitchen and dining areas.

Washes and sanitizes dishes and equipment.

Receives, inspects, and ensures the quality and quantity of food.

Maintains records and inventories as required.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge of:

Arizona Food Code.

Business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and composition.

Clerical office practices and procedures.

Work Environment:
The work environment is associated with a kitchen. The work area is adequately lighted, heated or cooled, and ventilated.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 40 pounds.
