We are seeking a year round Server to join our team in a fast-paced crab house environment. Our busy season continues well into the fall and we are seeking servers who are looking for continued employment into the school year. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that patrons have an enjoyable dining and entertainment experience. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet guests promptly and provide them with menus while ensuring they feel welcomed.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, including OpenTable for reservations.
- Serve food and drinks to guests efficiently, ensuring all items are presented beautifully.
- Sanitate tables, utensils, and service areas regularly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Handle cash register operations and manage cash handling procedures accurately.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism to enhance their experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the dining area before and after service.
- Uphold the highest standards of hospitality throughout the shift.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is required
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience using cash registers is beneficial.
- Knowledge of POS systems is a plus, particularly Toast or similar platforms.
- Strong math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- A passion for guest services with excellent communication skills is essential.
- Ability to work in a high-energy environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
